SPOILER ALERT: The following review contains mild spoilers for “Black Panther.”
The people have spoken! Marvel Studios’s new face “Black Panther” has grabbed all the attention it deserves. The movie is a beautiful blend of graphic seduction, majestic characters, raw music and soul filling emotions with a little punch of wittiness. It has some kind of rarity to it that no other marvel movie could ever deliver.
A modest civilisation with futuristic technology and tribal traditions, capable of ruling out all the worldly problems and leading the entire human race towards salvation, hidden into the shades of African jungles, Wakanda Forever!
The film’s Kendrick Lamar-produced theme soundtrack hit #1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
And boom, just like that, Disney-Marvel’s “Black Panther” has become the third-highest grossing Marvel Cinematic Universe release of all-time in the US, in just 12 DAYS!!!
Grasping $10.1 million at 4,020 locations on its 12th day of release(stressing on that fact), the panther pounded over “Wonder Woman” and “Suicide Squad” to become the 20th-highest grosser of all time with $421.8 million in its pocket.
With much more juice to go, Black Panther now sits at $748.2 million worldwide just a 100 million dollars away from its counterpart “Thor: Ragnarok” (that guy has a 106-day advantage).
NOTE: The film is yet to be released in Japan and China.
